American Ambulance is an employee friendly, 9-1-1, ALS provider serving the mountain, rural, and urban areas of Central California. We are the sole paramedic provider in our response areas.

We are seeking motivated, service oriented employees. Our Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Dispatchers respond to over 140,000 calls annually throughout a service area of over 6,500 square miles. Our service area ranges from the 12,500 elevation of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, to the rich farmland and cities of the San Joaquin Valley, to the Coastal Mountain Range.

American Ambulance employs over 800 dedicated personnel and operates over 100 ambulances and a helicopter program. Our company serves a population base of over 1,000,000 people. We are located 60 miles south of Yosemite National Park and are 3 hours from Los Angeles and San Francisco.

At American Ambulance, you will use the latest, state-of-the-art equipment, including Stryker PowerPro gurneys, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Ambulances, and hand-held, pen-based computers for patient care documentation. Our Paramedics enjoy working under aggressive, standing order protocols and policies.

American Ambulance also offers the following opportunities: CCT/Ventilator Paramedic, Behavioral Health Paramedic, Special Event teams and our Rescue Team provides ALS rescue response. The Rescue Team provides medical care in settings such as high-angle rope rescue, Swift-water rescue, and wilderness rescue.  They also provide tactical SWAT support for local law enforcement agencies.
